On your arrival day at the holiday accommodation, your bicycles are waiting for you. You will also receive the FIKS guidance map for bikes and a limited edition of the bicycle route of the picnic project of “Zonnemaire Buitengewoon”. Of course we can give you even more information in case this is necessary.

Guided bicycle tour through the “Prunje” area
Nature development area Prunjepolder, one of Schouwen-Duiveland’s oldest “Polders”, has been marked by history. It started with the gathering of turf and resulted in a wild area which is home to a wide selection of birds. After that the farmers shaped the area by “poldering“ it and using it for agricultural reasons. Luckily the nature protecting organizations completely changed it back to its original form. Prunjepolder, nowadays has been selected as being a core nature development area by “Plan Tureluur”. Explore what is living, flying, walking and what you can eat there together with nature guide Jeroen van Mourik.
